Good team. Defence isn't consistent enough for me though. Too many mistakes will cost them in cup runs.

Lool pre season optimism... Every fan thinks there team is gonna do much better. I like arsenal but i don't see him winning any silverware again... You'll have a good run in CL though as usual lol
they'll do well, RVP or not. still think they'll get the champions league places easily but unless tightarsene gets some defenders in and stops trusting djourou they won't be able to compete for the title. if they have injury problems at the back to sagna-koscielny-vermaelen-gibbs then they'll struggle with the current squad. if they all stay fit then they could have a chance to compete for the title, but why oh why does arsene keep taking that risk? he's so stubborn!

I think to challange for the title or champs league they need to strengthen defence & maybe a world class keeper. I'm not saying Szczesny is $hite but I wouldn't say I'd be confident with him in a big final or title winning game. I think they could win the League Cup if Wenger stops treating it as a youth cup but that depends how Citeh & Chelski treat it.

First choice centre pairing is Koscielny and Vermaelen anyway so Mertesacker won't be a permanent fixture.... I think we'll be intention for a trophy, couldnt tell you which one but we now have a squad. I'd take two more signings and we be ok for now.

No defence = no trophy. When you still have Mertesacker in defence you have no chance
Seem to be putting a decent squad together but best for this season I'd say league cup or fa cup! Steady increase
Can't see it myself. Arsenal have become just a top 4 team. Relatively consistent in the league, but when it comes to one off games they seem to bottle it. Whether that was because of the youth that Wenger was trying to push through, I don't know - it might change with the experience of Verm, Song, Podolski, Carzorla etc etc but I think that if Arsenal finish 4th it'd be a good season for them.
