Valdez sucks. Even rob green wouldn't make the mistake valdes did against Di Maria. If I were barca I would fork out 15 mil and buy Hugo lloris.

Look at his goals conceded over his career. He's a good keeper. Every keeper makes a few mistakes every season.
The guy is far too erratic. Imagine him at a lower club that were constantly under pressure the whole game? He would struggle. If you can't keep your head playing for Barcelona then there's no hope for you. It may be a concentration thing. Most of the game he has nothing to do and plays like a sweeper most games... LOL

I think it's good that Barca have stuck with as many Spanish players as possible. I actually don't think Valdes is that bad. Let's face it, Barca don't need a great keeper. Even if he makes an error, Barca are more than likely going to score more anyway. In terms of reflexes and shot stopping I think he's one of the best. Valdes is a good keeper but I don't think he'll be considered world class untill he cuts out his erractic errors. I agree with everyone saying Lloris would be their best option but Barca tend to have a Spannish spine to the team.

@RowanCharlieGee yes he is purely amazing. You can't deny he is such an unbelievable shot stopper. ( ps: I am American lol) but I seriously think he's amazing, constantly makes unbelievable saves, or mayb cuz he has 2 given his teams.
@lucas21 you think Howard is the best in the world?
Pepe would have been perfect for them, he is great with the ball at his feet, probably the best. They need someone similar who can fit in with the passing game, but can also be reliable when shot stopping. It's not like they're short on money so they should just go out and spend, it will make there squad complete

@Italian_celt67 opinion is opinion so I can't say I'm right, I can say I have good evidence lol. And @lfc-fcb that's true who knows, I think he's decent right now so I'll give him time. But my thought is why wait when u can get a top 5 GK now for only 15mil and he's 24. I think that would just be such a world class buy on so many levels. Or if they want to get (IMO the 2nd best gk in the world ) nuyer for a likely 25-30 mil Given I'd go w a keeper 25 or under cuz they could get Tim Howard and you might think I'm crazy but I think he's the best in the world

@lucas21 not that good yet. remember he is only 21-22 .. they want to buy when he is like 25 then you know keepers last till they are 40

@Italian_celt67 are you joking. He makes so many bad errors. You can ask any Spain / barca fan that he is very dodgy and unreliable. He could maybe make some lower EPL teams. Besides Tott, he wouldnt make any of the top 10 teams. And not even Tott right now cuz friedels better. The only teams he'd make are s hamp. West ham. Reading. West brom. And qpr. Point being Valdez wouldn't make most teams and he makes a boatload of errors.
Valdez dosent suck at all he made a mistake but he woul walk into just about any team
@lfc-fcb ehh scescny is not barca quality. Their situation is screaming for HUGO LLORIS!!!!! For me it's just mental not to spend 15mil to strengthen the only weak position in the squad. Or they can buy reina and we take lloris. Either way barca need a world class keeper. And no offence to szceny, he's not that good.
they are looking at Szczesny in a couple of years.
