Celtic v HJK Helsinki - Champions League third-round qualifier
Celtic
Celtic play HJK Helsinki at Celtic Park tonight, 7:45. Hearing that it will be a sell out 60,000 crowd (5,000 tickets left max just now) which is great to see for a third-round qualifier. Hopefully the business can be done in this home tie and we will have no worries for the away leg. I'm going for 3-0 Celtic (Hooper 2 and Wanyama)!

Just thought I'd add in was was talking to the girls sat I front of me at the game tonight and seriously must have been 3 of the hottest girls I've ever saw at a football match haha wow is all I can say
@TheDannyGordon if you had saw him play tonight you'd have been disappointed that's all I'm saying
@Italian_celt67 see if you are playing counter attacking football and you have lumped the ball over the oppositions defence I'd take Samaras over any other of our attacking. He done it perfectly when we bet Rangers 2-0 win at Ibrox 2 years ago

@TheDannyGordon they were much better players than samaras though
@Italian_celt67 he doesn't always play well. Neither did Nakamura neither did McGeady. he is a winger. you rarely get a winger who performs brilliantly every single match. and if you do he isn't at our level

@TheDannyGordon that's if he always played well
@Italian_celt67 he is he is very frustrating but he gets unfairly attacked. He can be sensational or he can be mince. Personally i love him as when he is on the boil he is sensational. I'd take Samaras on form over majority of our players.

@TheDannyGordon he's extremely inconsistent and was awful tonight
And Samaras was outstanding in the run in last year. He is a simple and easy target for boo boys when he isn't on top form. I remember the game vs Kilmarnock on Boxing day when we were behind Rangers before the Old Firm game and he destroyed them, running down the wing, wining stuff in the air, creating and scored 2 classy goals.

@TheDannyGordon fair point
@Italian_celt67 yes but we fell short. APOEL are considered minnows and they done brilliant. We are a big club with history and fan base but on the pitch we are an average to below average team. there was a time when we were beating Juventus, Liverpool, Barcelona etc now we are saying finishing third in a europa league group is good considering the group.

Plus lennons effatuation with Samaras dosent help
@TheDannyGordon id say we are unlucky to be honest a nearly team even we did well last year considering the group we had I know it was Europa league but must have been the toughest group in the tournament
Same old story with Celtic, we created the chances to have won comfortably and let in an extremely sloppy goal. A win is a win at the end of the day. Nice one on the prediction @MB_Ktubes !

@Italian_celt67 on the grand scale of things we are closer to the so called minnows than we are the big teams

@TheDannyGordon I wouldn't call us minnows
@ateeq we really should have destroyed them but lets be honest we are minnows. We got beaten by Braga which is actually unfair since then went on to the final that year. but we lost to Sion. Plus Helsinki won their 9-1 and we have a weak defence. We should go over there and win. getting through is important how you do it isn't

@ateeq Bering in mind the beat the last team 9-1 on aggregate we were lucky we scored tonight by the performance
@ateeq we won the game that's what matters
@TheDannyGordon Poor excuses - Helsinki is not a team who usually makes the champions league - in fact they never do - they are a supposed minnpw - I would have expected Celtic to put the game to bed - hopefully you'll get through in the second leg otherwise a debate of how poor the Scottish league is will start again
