Nikica Jelavic
Everton
Is he a good shout for top scorer this season? 13 starts and 11 goals!

He'll do well, but teams will know a bit more about him now and will look to limit his chances. I think he'll score a fair amount though, perhaps between 13-18 PL goals. I'm contemplating having him in my Dream Team too!

I think he'll score his fair share but top scorer I doubt it. Almost always comes from the top 4 these days. He is the one that got away though. Great player!

I genuinely hope he has another stormer of a season for Everton, dito with Naismith. I hope any player going to the EPL from SPL does well as I'm sick to the back teeth with the usual rubbish EPL fans hit out with when an SPL based player goes down south, good luck to him.

@rezzza whys that?
If you English you pay 30% more guranteed!

Why not? Please don't put such statements with out backing it up! It's a well known fact, buying English costs more. e.g. Carroll, Henderson, Lescott,...I could go on all day @Italian_celt67

@rezzza well that's not true
Being English always adds an extra 5m+ @brightside_94

Based on the end of last season, Jelavic & Cisse are the ones to look out for.

@RblockW12 for me 15 million good buy. But then again when we see that jordi alba the best LB in the world possibly has been brought on for 9 million.

18 probably sounds about fair. Personally if i was SAF if pay it in a shot. worth every penny, and Everton get their asking price. lets see what happens........

Can take a mean penalty too
No, nothing firm on price, but when we say we want 18m, we'll hold out for that aka Lescott...

@RblockW12 as far as i know about the reality, united have gone for a 12million and wanted to add an additional 4 million incase of any add ons, this is course a temting one! but i don't see moyes selling him. yes, as you said he has everything and a reason why fergie is looking for him. Everton will sell him only when a 18 million pound offer is put.

@brightside_94 very true. His price is a result of just how good the guy is. Superb defender, great going forward, great crosser and excellent free kick taker so gets himself amoung the goals. Everything youd want in a player. Anyone know realisticly what kind of offers have been tabled yet?

everton can vye for europa league, they have a quality team IMO. NIkica Jelavic is the answer to all the passes. But again Baines seems to be the vital for everton and the reason why of his high pricing...

@rezzza I think Baines staying is a massive part of Everton's future. If he is allowed to leave, it may well be a signal of intent as to where the future lies with the current owner. It may put off other players ect and hamper the future. I hope he stays. i like everton and how they play and how moyes gets the best out of his squad

If we can keep Baines and the rest of the squad, there is no reason why he can't score 20+ goals which would defo put him up there...

I think now though its player power sadly. Im pretty sure if even say Fulham came knocking, it would be such an attraction, the agent would start getting involved (sensing a nice pay day) and turn his head. I use fulham, or Foolham as theyre known as an example as they have pretty much nothing to offer. They are a typical club that can offer nothing out of the ordinary and have no particular expectations of success. Its a shame, but i think the money obsessed players and agents are ruining the game for us. Hope he has a decent season. Looking forward to having a look at him

Yeah but I don't think st johnstone would let sandaza go easy lol
@Italian_celt67 I'll keep an eye on him this season. I think scouts too often concentrate on European players these days. Not sure why, maybe cheaper, I dont know. Probably something to do with agents whoring out players on the continent. Who knows. I think a lot of teams at the bottom of the EPL could do a decent job if they cherry picked the best players in Scotland
