Glasgow fans, how good is this guy?

He has been touted as a prospect for sometime but how good is he really? Rangers and SPL fans will have seen more from him of late so I ask your honest opinion.
He has not yet been capped at U21 level for England, which is worrying, so realistically will he ever break into Arsenals 11 or indeed any other EPL clubs 11? Or is he destined for lower league and SPL football?

He was a capable back-up centre back but often stuck out on the right when we had injuries. He wasn't terrible, some of the posts here are beyond extreme, but he is nowhere near being Arsenal class.

He is extremely poor and has shown nothing in both loan spells at Rangers apart from being able to put in a rash challenge and be a pest. Not a hope in hell that this man will make it in the Arsenal first team, the SPL wasn't even his level and I genuinely mean that.

Haha I know no Gers who'd back Bartley to be honest. Let's try and make it the last time we agree on something though!! Back on Bartley, it's possible that he is actually ok as a centre back but never really saw him play there for Rangers. Clutching at straws...

As a Rangers and Arsenal fan, can honestly say he's never going to cut it at Arsenal. It says a lot that when Arsenal had only 2 fit defenders in the entire squad last season, they never considered recalling him from his loan... He's a strong lad, but played out of position (RB) at Rangers which showed up a lack of positional awareness and no great pace. Future in League 1 perhaps...

Never going to make it in the premiership. Was average at best in the SPL
he is a versatile player who still needs to develop by laying at a decent standard- maybe a loan to a good championship team or lower league premiership team would help his development, scottish football the last few years doesnt really develop any players to that sort of level......still not ready as a squad player for arsenal

Id expect nothing less from a Celtic fan lol, but you may be correct. He isnt being given a shot at Arsenal and he hasnt been given a shot at any England youth level, there must be a reason.

My opinion is he is a yard slow, terrible positioning terrible tackler woeful at making the correct choice, poor at heading, horrific at marking, weak and a thug
