After watching our past few matches i still reckon we need a striker that can score, perhaps defoe or dempsey still. And a back up left beck for enrique, maybe santon from newcastle or someone else?

We could do with another striker we only really have 3 in the squad all have their own style. Still think some of the midfield need to chip in n do their bit with the goals tho glad to see a few wingers in the squad now i can see rodgers's vision tho looks good
@rrweale Borini is good at getting into the box.He just gets played as a winger, so he cant be in there all the time if he's supposed to play as a winger. Its suarez who leaves the box empty because he likes to roam, but then again, he is a false 9.

@slufsar I reckon defoe would be decent, he could certainly score a few for us and he's a proper striker and won't disappear on the wings like suarez and borini keep doing leaving the centre empty...

@rrweale FSG have said they would cash out on the right player if we could attract him. If not, then there is always bargains to be found. Defoe would be a terrible signing IMO.

@slufsar gonna be hard to find a 20 a season striker now though, I reckon our cash is limited after the money we've spent, and there aren't as much players that would want to join us than there used to be

@MB_Ktubes I'm sure we can find someone, then again kelly can play centre back, why don't we try him out there and bring up flanagan for right back a few times this season?

@rrweale.. Coates was ace today. Carragher can still play when needed. You're not going to get anyone who is content to be 3rd choice.

Defoe is a very limited striker, and is a poor fit for our system. Would be disappointed with him. Dempsey isnt such a great finisher and is getting old. I think we need to look abroad. I think we really need a good striker. We need a main goalscorer, who can get close to 20 goals in a premier league season. We are crying out for it. We should either spend big money on that player or find a bargain somewhere.

@MB_Ktubes your forgetting how much matches we have to play this season, we basically need about 2 and a half teams haha, there is no way skrtel and agger can play every single game together, and there will be games, like today that are to fast paced for carragher to play, and I don't trust our youth defenders to come up either...

If you remember we have signed Sahin and Assaidi who didn't feature today. I think we only need a back-up striker who is inexpensive but can contribute with 5+ goals from the bench perhaps. Dempsey won't be content to do that and will be very expensive. Defoe won't come now and I don't really want him. Only other transfer is maybe another centre back but again who is going to be content sitting on the bench? I doubt Rodgers will break up Agger and Skrtel.

I still think Chelsea will sign Hulk ..
I'd rather have Dempsey than Defoe
@mrsentah Rodgers seems reluctant to play carroll for some reason though, I don't know why though becuse he really is a game changer, as soon as he came on we looked a lot more dangerous when the ball was crossed in the box, borini looked lost today as well.

I think Carrol is actually better than Borini and should get a go. I dont think we are far off maybe just a winger
