Last time we only got 1 point in our 1st three games was in 1962, under some guy named bill shankly. We all know what followed. Patience my fellow REDS. I know times are different now, but nobody knew who bill was at that time either. Keep the faith in Brendan, this guy is special.

I firmly believe Rodgers is the right man to take this club forward, he's got just about everything spot on so far... He's got my backing 100%

@slufsar yeah not wise comments from Stevie. He knows we won't be close to that, why say it. Is paisley or shankly alive by any chance. Cuz we need one of them to smack some sense into our club.

@MB_Ktubes Think we actually need to start playing before we start expecting again. Too many times we get carried away before the season without any reason for it. Our captain Gerrard isnt exactly helping the matter either. LAst week he said Liverpool werent that far from a title challenge, of course he was answering Sven Goran Eriksson statements, but he shouldnt have said it. Before last season he said we could challenge for the title "with a little bit of luck". Lacks patience both on and off the pitch.

Clutching at straws a bit but I do agree, it will take time getting used to Rodger's system and nobody should be expecting Liverpool in the top 4 any time soon well, not this season anyway

@lucas21.. I wouldn't say that they were that bad but it's the sort of fans that I've heard on 606 wanting Dalglish back on the opening day. Some of them have supported the club for years and years. It's the expectation that will make or break Rodger's time at Anfield. Too many think we can finish in the top 4 despite being nearly 30 points behind that last season. It's going to be a rough ride but Rodgers will get us there in the end. Rome wasn't built in a day and nor was Fergie's 12 league titles.

@MB_Ktubes spot on, it would be dumb to say Rodgers is a bad manager because he proved himself at Swansea. Some fans are reasonable, some aren't, the ones who won't give him time are the ones who didnt watch swans and don't watch us and just see the scorelines or tables and say we want him out.

@TheDannyGordon he knew that coming in so is he brave or stupid, or is fsg aware that this will take a long time and will they give it.

I can see Rodgers leaving Liverpool in the summer with his reputation in tatters and Liverpool needing a clearout. Selling Downing, Carroll, Reina, Johnson, Lucas, Cole, Spearing and a couple of big names like Agger etc. He was given arguably the hardest job in football, at this moment. Replacing Kenny, Changing the style, getting rid of the flops, turning them into a big side once again and he was given pennies in comparison to other sides. Rodgers might be a good manager, but he isn't a miracle worker. He was given an almost an impossible task with very little. Will only ever be one outcome.

@liam Think FSG will be patient with Rodgers. If they werent, they wouldve got in someone with a better reputation with more experience from this level. By getting in a young manager like this, they tell us that they will give him time aswell. Dont think he'll be sacked before christmas unless we are in the relegation zone. I dont think we are as bad as we've played against West Brom or today. We've played Europa league which is just a negative thing as it makes the players tired. Hope we ignore the Capital One Cup and Europa League and focus completely on the league. Allen, Agger, Suarez, Gerrard, Johnson or Enrique shouldnt be anywhere near the EL games.

@lucas21 Its hard to say. I'm not on the board... Usually a terrible beating / awful performance always tends be the straw that breaks the camels back. All i'm saying is it needs to improve and improve quickly because right now it looking flamin awful!!

@liam that's true, so how long will that be. Let's say we lose to s land and man u. And the game after that. Would that be enough to sack him. What is the # he needs point wise by November to keep the job.

@lucas21 @slufsar I agree in part with what you've both said. I'm not saying he'll be sacked now, ofcourse not but poor results dont go un noticed. If fans get restless, they'll be the ones who'll get BR the sack. There will be constraints on his work but football is a results business whether we like it or not. He is trying to improve the brand of football but if LFC dont win games he wont last... Simple as that.. LFC cant win games without scoring goals. All the excuses about West brom and the ref, good performance vs City but were unlucky..... It counts for jack-sh*t because you only have 2 points or whatever.. Excuses will only be accepted for a period. Do not be misguided, this is a results business. When sh*t hits the fan, BR may find this out. I'm just being honest!

Brendan may be special, a lot of his squad is not. I hate it when people say 'oh the last time this happened so and so happened' if we're going by that sort of logic united will win the league this year because that's what they've done the season after finishing second the last few times, liverpools fans will turn on Rodgers and his players soon enough, this is another false dawn

I dont think FSG wouldve appointed Rodgers if they wanted a quick fix. Its important that we improve over the season.
