Hat funny about scholes is even at his age he still comes on and shows his quality. He doesn't look out of place at all. Brilliant professional and is clearly still good enough even at his age in the premiership. 10 years on England still want him! Amazing!

Well it's time to call it a day in my opinion, he shouldn't of really come back. Another season he will embarrass himself mate.

If he plays another season he has no respect for himself

If he was to play in the Euros I don't think he would have much of an impact. He is doin alrite for Man-U, and he's gonna need all the rest he can get if he is to play next season.

Leave Scholes where he is. He retired from international footie for good reason. Is our national squad that bad that in 10 years we have failed to find a suitable replacement. Plus like @bradleycollins11 rightly says, Scholes will need a rest if he is to play for us next season....

The fact is, he's too old and he isn't the future of England so it's pointless. He will prob retire this season anyway. What's funny is he has more passing ability than most of that England midfield. In fact he is the best passer and user of the ball England have had. FACT

As much as scholes is a quality player I don't think he should go to the euros it's about the youngsters now. Ashley cole has been the most consistent defender for England and I would take him even though he is a ####

@machine44 I couldnt agree more! lets go with a fresh young team with some experience for stability with expectations or pressure! like the press tend to do every major tournament

Terry really doesnt bring much though, baines has developed into the best english left back now and Gerrard jus isnt the same player. I think the Euro's is like a free tournament for England go out with a fresh team, and have a go rather than the same players voicing there discontent at a poor tournament performance

@machine44 & @peterwake1988 I kind of agree not taking most of the old guard but I think some have to go, prob Terry, Gerrard & Cole. We're not going past the quarters anyway cos Spain or Italy will be waiting so may as well give some younger players a chance.

definately not- some people are so content on the same old names- lets freshen the england set-up completely, lampard should be nowhere near it, terry shouldnt b either, gerrard and ashley cole should just give it a miss as well--- really need to look to progress the team not go backwards
