If Rvp leaves now it won't be down to 'ambition' but obviously the money. Arsenal are going in the right direction this transfer window and it's making me optimistic that we can claim a trophy

Nice to see the gooner boys getting stuck in! Anyway, flog RVP, then lets go and sign Cazorla!!! We sold Nasri and Cesc and finished higher (3rd) without them! If Wenger makes a defensive signing to add to the new boys I think we wont finish lower than 3rd.. Maybe even push higher! Everytime we lose a big player, people say we are finished. Water off a ducks back really!

Juve are trying to move forward and re-join the elite. Last year they went for Aguero. Arsenal are selling the big players

I hope so.. anyone but City please Mr RVP smirk Should really stay at Arsenal though. Last season he performed heroically.. beyond his actual level imo.. he's great but he's not what he was last season. You owe Arsenal.. for all the years THEY stuck by YOU!

A very healthy debate. Just what this site is all about. Well done people.

@ArsenalRyan.. Didn't say that but I would rather us play a match than keep going round in circles in this pointless arguement. Football should be settled on the pitch.

@MB_Ktubes 'when we play each other' so already ruling out final league positions?

@ArsenalRyan.. Yeah that's fair enough but I'm not going to get into a petty arguement. I would rather we did the talking on the pitch when we play each other.

I would get involved but there is no orginality in these. The typical is "Liverpool are sh*t", "You watch the history channel", "You live in the past" vs. "Trophyless for 7 years", "5 times", "Man City reserves". It's the unstoppable force vs. the immovable object.

And about the Liverpool debate. Most of their fans live on the past holding onto trophies from years ago. They don't live in the present and judge a team on how well they're doing currently. The league positions from last year sort of speak for themselves..

@Baldersmith no change there then, typical Liverpool fan living in the past.

@Baldersmith 1) Don't care 2) Lets face it, you got lucky in 2005, your captain will probably retire soon. You can't really attract world class players anymore. Your managers completely deluded, he thinks Joe Allen is worth 15 million?

Ignore it. Not getting my hopes up but in a recent interview with RVP, he assured the interviewer that he was going to remain in the premier league but he doesn't know which club yet.
