More owners to take over a club & set about destroying it thinking they know best. From what I heard on SSN earlier they're doing the same as Venkys did when they took over I put the reasons in the other discussion. (Don't wanna repeat myself wink) . I bet Steve Kean will be forwarding his CV immediately...

The owners know nothing about football clearly. He's a top manager, and I don't blame him for walking.

Where is my corkscrew - feel like celebrating!! Not because he is going, but because a team like Villa deserve better leadership. Really hope he takes a time out from management.

Villa's woes were inevitable after they got rid of Milner, Young and Downing and ALL the money received was not plowed back into boosting the squad with players of equal ability. IMO Lerner is the one to blame for this with his Iron fisted grasp on the purse strings. Players coming up from the reserve team and/or Academy is all well and good but most are just not ready for the Premier League

@MJH007 not true at all, as far as i am aware the people around me within the holte end all got behind him and gave him support in the begining of the season til christmas, especially away. with regards to the injury's i'd agree with you, not many managers could of done better with the squad we had at the time but the funds given (almost 20m) could been spent better

@Xanvier Not questioning that, and not questioning the decision - but I don't believe he was given a chance by many AV fans as he came from Birmingham. I also think he was hampered by injuries and a lack of funds. Hard to see any other manager doing better given the circumstances.

@MB_Ktubes I personally do not want Bruce. Support from Lerner ?. You should be on stage mate. Do you write your own jokes or is this someone else talking cool smirk
