Http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmamIYFN1s8 Make up your own mind what the hell is happening here. Was it right to send him off?

Of course its a red card. what would you have the referee do? He had no choice but to send him off. @LuLu

The guy was a drunk 19 year old. Which says it all really. I doubt he has kids but i get your point @maresh

Great news the card was rescinded..... Don't know what's wrong with these fans sometimes, I'm sure he probably has kids to feed but instead he's trying to attack goalkeepers!

The red card wuld have been okay if the ref gave it to him for not kicking that jacka** harder and punching him in the nose and head butting him....

My dad supports Ajax and even he agrees that it was never a red card.

The dude fly kicked at the keeper, keeper jumped in air with a good old fashioned straight leg to the crotch. pitch invader came off worst. another day, keeper gets one in the back and has to go off injured. @maresh

This is funny but on serious note as @adammcd86 said the fan actually went for the keeper and not generally just running on the pitch. So the keeper was well within his rights to protect himself, anything could of happened. He isn't to know what that fan has in his pocket.....etc The ref should of used common sense with the rules here if you ask me

I think they did, but like i said, de boer wasnt cracking up. eredivisie is not ran by FArce, so id not be surprised if they can get the Red rescinded, and granted a reply. @gazpenk

If the players walked off then surely they have forfeited the match if it wasnt with the refs consent.

All the players walked, game called off, frank de boer said "i understand". If ref had walked to alkmaar bench and explained that keeper needs to go for violent conduct, everyone would have been upsert, but would have understood, but that referee got a bad case of the phil dowd's and everyone took objection. @adammcd86

I dont think he should of sent him off - the fan could of had anything on him, the keeper was prob a bit scared and just acted out like that. Did the game get abandoned because the players all walked off or did the ref blow up?

Dude, im not talking about the football more the ethics lad..

@mrsentah That is not true at all. It's not like it happens often and Dutch league football has brought you the likes of Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Huntelaar, Van Nistelrooy, Suarez and Eriksen in recent years. Im probably missing some obvious people. Anyway Dutch league is very exciting and to say it is a disgrace is rather ridiculous!

@gazpenk ref handles it wrongly which leads to Alkmaar walking off the pitch.

(yes its Alkmaar keeper that is sent off not Ajax)

If ref handlesw differently, walks over to to alkmaar manager and say, "hes gotta go, he assaulted someone", no one gets annoyed. but its how the ref brandishes the red card as if the pitch invader didnt even happen.
