Ashley open to Newcastle sale

Apparently Mike Ashley is not actively looking to sell Newcastle but is open to any suitable offers.

According to various reports Ashley is believed to be holding out for an offer that will allow him to recoup all of the money he has spent in his time in charge at St James' Park, a figure of £267m according to the latest Deloitte Annual Review of Football Finance published earlier this month.

Will anyone make Ashley that sort of offer? Will Newcastle fans be happy to see the back of him since the heat seems to have died down over the past two seasons or so?

He won't sell. It's all talk just like last time.

@Doozers20 It totally slipped my mind about the appointment of Kinnear!! Good point about Pardew & his contract. Think that would be a problem for potential buyers. I think I might have heard a rumor somewhere that if he was sacked he wouldn't be owed the remainder of the contract. Not sure where though - or if it would apply to a new owner.

Have you not been paying attention to the sporting world in the past couple of weeks? The heat is well and truly back on him. I think they'd be happy to see the back of him. In respect to a potential buyer. Newcastle is a huge club, however there is a manager that they may not want, thats on a huge contract and would take a massive pay out to get rid of.
