Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

Big Monday night game. Liverpool need a win to keep any chance of the title alive. First priority for Liverpool is obviously getting a win by any means necessary and it'll be a very tough game against a Pulis team, but I fully expect if we make a good start like going 2-0 up early for example that we'll at least make an effort to make up the goal difference deficit on Man City. Because why not, worth a try. We are currently 9 goals behind them so it's a large deficit to overturn especially if City win their final 2 games. So we'd need at least +11 in the 2 remaining games. Not impossible but very unlikely. With this permutation and a Palace team with nothing to lose I think this could be a very entertaining game. Daniel Sturridge is available and expected to start.

What is everyone's predictions? I'm going 3-0 to LFC - tough game against Palace away but they were very lacklustre against City last week and so I hope they put in a similar performance tonight and we take advantage. Think the team will be up for it after last week's disappointment. Come on the Reds!

@releasethekraken I'm not bitter. Just think Man City deserve it much more, Liverpool's defending has been shocking all season.

@Doozers20 yes, but he completely ignored any possible threat from Palace. Even after they got one goal back, they were still pushing far to much for a 4th goal, creating problems for themselves in defence!

@AFC_Harry34 why in the world would you not go for more goals? when City have a vastly superior goal difference.

@AFC_Harry34 how is it stupid from rodgers? if you can't go for more goals when you're 3-0 up when can you? it's not his fault the team went into AIDS mode for the last 10 minutes and conceded 3 goals. it was just incredibly naive defending by liverpool, nothing to do with the manager.

and why do liverpool not deserve it because 'their forwards have dug them out of holes so many times'??? i really struggle to understand how that means they don't deserve it? that's what football is, scoring more goals than the opposition. if you're up there at the end of the season you deserve to be there.

i can understand why you're so bitter though. for years arsenal have been trying to mount a proper title challenge against the money teams and united without spending crazy money and playing great football, and this year liverpool turn up and have a way better season than arsenal have managed for ages. and to add insult to injury they do it with a player who arsenal tried to sign. must be annoying.

Crazy game that was! Stupid from Rodgers to think his side could go for more goals at 3-0 up and completely ignore Palace's threat. Liverpool's defending was almost as comical as Suarez crying afterwards! They don't deserve to win the league because throughout the season their defending has been shocking. Forwards have dug them out of holes so many times!

I go to bed early because my new job requires me to start at 6am and Liverpool are winning 3-0. I wake up in the morning and see the scoreline of 3-3 absolutely priceless.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

@MB_Ktubes think you mean west ham. and anyway, it'll be villa who do the job on city in midweek. @villa-rich comes out from the away end and scores a last minute winner, showing his true love for liverpool football club.

@MB_Ktubes Why would Norwich beating Arsenal make a difference?

Ricky Van Wolfswinkel will score the winner on the final day for Norwich to win 1-0 and we will beat Newcastle.

@Villa-Rich I can never understand a 'fan' wanting their team to lose, regardless of the situation.

@releasethekraken Now Villa are safe I hope Man City batter us Wednesday. It will help take the title away from Liverpool and it will also increase the case for Villa getting rid of Lambert and hiring a new manager.

@MB_Ktubes Crystal Palace are safe now so maybe they will relax but with Pullis in charge maybe not. Selhurst Park is a tough place to go to. Be an interesting test.

9-0 we're gunna win the league on goal difference. Nah honestly I'd take a win in any form. Selhurst Park is a tough place to go under Pulis.
