England Wingers for the FIFA World Cup 2014. Nathan Redmond anyone?

Hi, this is has probably been thought about already but I was just wondering about which wingers England might take to Brazil this summer. With Walcott out injured and Young, Milner and Townsend doing nothing of note in recent months is there a chance of a more left field pick (pardon the pun)? Does their lack of form mean that the likes of Adam Johnson, Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana, the ever-improving Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or even perhaps Nathan Redmond could break into the squad/starting 11 come the summer? I haven't seen much of the first 3 but I know as a Norwich fan that Nathan Redmond has been by far one of if not our best player this season and he could potentially provide that spark to give England some life much in the way that Oxlade-Chamberlain did at Euro 2012 or Aaron Lennon at the 2006 World Cup or Townsend in those final two qualifiers? Very unlikely to happen of course but a Canary can dream can't he?

@Doozers20 Newcastle are a big club, if they had any decent English players then they would have more of a chance.

@TheWelshDragon then I don't get how you can say 'if he played for Newcastle he would be picked', as no Newcastle players will go.

People on other forums never see my argument with Mutch going to the World Cup, Barkley last time I saw in the Premier League a few weeks back had no assists for, Mutch has 5, while Barkley has 7 goals and Mutch has 5, Mutch plays mostly as a box to box midfielder. If he played for Newcastle or something, he would be considered but he will get ignored.

If Redmond played for a bigger club he would be considered as well, it's all just bias really.

Fully expect Sterling, Lallana and The Ox to be there. Wouldn't say they're left field picks either. Whether he has the balls to actually play them is a different matter.

@AFC_Harry34 this is why I asked this question, get a wider perspective. He's definitely good enough to play internationally however personally I don't think he's quite ready yet. He's got great skill especially when it comes to beating players but at times his decision making isn't good enough which sets him back. Give Redmond a year or two and he most definitely will be banging on the door for selection not just in the squad but perhaps in the starting lineup. Unfortunately he may have to join a top 4 side to get noticed though

@Doozers20 i would put money on him being in the 23 man squad, no matter where united finish this season

Young and Milner will both be in the squad... Chamberlain more than likely as well... It would be brilliant to see is mix things up a bit but you could probably pick roys starting line up now... I'd rather have zaha getting game time at united than young but he couldn't even get on the bench..
