Everton have EIGHT candidates in mind

Everton have eight candidates in mind to replace David Moyes. The club are considering several options, with Phil Neville, David Weir and Alan Stubbs three of those in contention. Neville's Everton playing career is coming to a close after over eight years at Goodison, and the 36-year-old has been interviewed for the vacancy. Former defensive duo David Weir and Alan Stubbs, who are currently on the coaching staff on Merseyside, have also been spoken to about the job.

There are five external candidates: Porto coach Vitor Pereira, who has won the Portuguese title in both seasons at the helm. He is out of contract at Porto this summer and has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Moyes. Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is also a front runner. Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup, Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay and former Chelsea head coach Roberto Di Matteo are also in the frame. Laudrup & Mackay have dismissed speculation linking them to Goodison.

Who would be the best fit for the club & would any turn down the job if offered?

They should hire a lesbian. Like Moyes, they all are ugly. And like Moyes, they all speak scottish.

I'd be surprised if Laudrup would be tempted away from Swansea for the Everton job. I'm also surprised that Benitez isn't being considered although that appointment would be somewhat controversial on Merseyside.
