@Rulz03 personally I think while he's not shown much as a top 4 player, he'd walk into Sunderlands midfield behind Sessegnon

My Pet hate is seeing everyone hype up Arroan Ramsay when he is dump

Also don't you just hate it when someone has a penalty saved and the commentators immediately say 'that's a poor penalty' when if he'd have hit it in the exact same place and scored they would have said 'great penalty, great composure'. this annoys me

You know when someone gets sent off, who the f**k is that official that guides players down the tunnel, with his hand on the players back? Every plates knows how to find their way onto the pitch, pretty sure they can find their way back without your help thanks!! Actually, I think I might just hate stewards.

@IanRush a shot of confidence wouldn't harm him, but I can't really see he getting many league starts this season Allen was bought for a reason and gerrard and Lucas will also be ahead in the queue

@owonefi7 we won't be able to say if Henderson's a rip-off for a few years yet, he's got great potential. My immediate concern for him is that he's not going to get a game barring injuries this season (and I think Jonjo Shelvey is great and should be ahead of him also).

I think managers should just be honest. When one of their players makes a bad tackle, instead of going out and saying you didn't see it, when you clearly did. Just say, yea, it was a very bad challenge.

@IanRush he had options though-kuyt and maxi, he wouldn't have had a job without them and Bellamy who was generally good when he played. I take your point on downing there comes a point when you have to ask why he kept playing him. Both players were a total rip off anyway

@IanRush to be honest Hodgsons come out and said that Carrick asked to not play under Capello but Hodgson just took it as his retirement from international football and didn't think to ask him but anyway thats in the past and I support Hodgson, seems like a decent guy. Can't get over the comments regarding Oxlade against AC Milan though, needs to do his research before making statements

@owonefi7 think Dalglish was waiting for Henderson's potential to be realised and Downing didn't really have a suitable replacement. To be fair to Downing, he was excellent as Villa the season before...

@Doozers20 I know and that's criminal. Complete negligence on Woy's part. Mind you Carrick's attitude didn't help matters.

@IanRush I know he was played out of position by a manager who somehow kept faith in him and downing for reasons unknown to man, but there are others who retain the ball who arguably deserved to go, Leon Britton had a good season, osman who I've already mentioned, cleverley had starte the season incredibly well and proved his worth with GB, hodgson could've tried harder to get carrick/scholes to play to and you go on about ball retention but all England did at the euros was smack it at Carroll, another who was fortunate to go looking at the whole of last season

@IanRush I'm sorry but noone better at ball retention than Carrick and Scholes yet no effort at all was made to get them back

@owonefi7 how can you compare CMs to Jordan Henderson? the kid didn't play in central midfield last season hence his average performances. Henderson was picked because his ball retention skills are excellent and England haven't been able to keep the ball for years.
What I will say though (in the interests of fairness) is that Henderson was quite lucky to get picked for England based on the season he had, CM or no CM!

@IanRush i find it hard to criticize linesmen, it's a difficult and high-pressure job but they do well on the whole. also about hypocrites, they all do it, i just wish they would be a bit more honest during interviews (like roberto martinez). wenger is probably the worst but i just feel sorry for the poor old man now. i despise fergie much more

How players who honestly haven't played well enough for their clubs get to play for England purely because theyve shown a small bit of potential or they play for a big club (Walcott, downing, Kelly, smalling etc) and players playing well for smaller clubs never get noticed eg Leon osman- should've played many a time for England and somehow Jordan Henderson got to go to the euros but players playing well didn't I could name 10 English players easily who played better in cm than him but didn't go

@IanRush I'm not sure about that, especially last season I thought Mancini was miles the worst hypocrite 'Tevez will never play for our club again' - City begin to struggle 'oh please Carlos we need you! :(' and 'Rooney was disgusting telling the ref Kompany used two feet' Glen Johnson two footed tackle, imaginary card held up, another time (against Liverpool again I think) imaginary card - Fergie's known for it because he's most famous, not saying he's not but they all are, as is everybody in the world

Call me old fashioned but when England have a friendly there are always a dozen players that have a "niggle" and are withdrawn as precaution. when i was a kid a player would travel wherever with England just to sit on the bench or in the stand.

@releasethekraken agree re hypocritics and think Wenger and Ferguson are the two main culprits. I hate the multitude of incorrect offside decisions - what happened to the benefit of the doubt to the attacking player rule? it's non existent.
Hate the informal rule that you've got to kick the ball out of play if a player is injured - it's abused almost every game that I seem to watch...
Have a particular distaste for Arsene Wenger, the guy's a d'head.

Hypocritical managers.... the majority of football journo's.... the journo's saying 'why can't footballers be more like our olympians?'... people presuming that players choose their next club solely due to wages/how big the club is, forgetting that they're actually human beings who might not want to relocate due to personal/family being settled.... 'pundits' who appear on sky sports and just lazily spew out every cliche imaginable... turning on sky sports news and seeing dave whelan EVERY TIME... players acting as if they've just been hit by a bus to try to get someone sent off... people saying that liverpool are 'miles off' the champions league just because they had a poor last 10 games of last season... liverpool fans slagging off charlie adam and wanting him out despite him being one of our best players last season... liverpool overpaying for young players... everything about sir alex ferguson...
