Goodbye Nani

He has to be one of the most frustrating players I've ever had the dis-pleasure of watching at Old Trafford. All the talk and the style but hasn't backed it up on the pitch. He has however shown tiny glimmers of class but not enough for his age. He will be sold 100% along with Anderson this summer. It's time for Moyes to step up and strengthen our midfield, as it stands in my opinion the only key player in midfield we have now Scholes has left is Carrick. I am looking forward to see what Cleverley and Kagawa can bring to the table next season and as for Valencia, well he had an amazing impact in his first season but seems to have piled on the pounds, 2012/13 = slow, and frustrating.

I would give him 1 more chance, see if Moyes can get him going, if not then cut their losses on him, i think he is a great player when in form

Nani is a fantastic player, who just doesn't seem to get it right often enough. He has displayed excellent ball control, great crossing, awareness off the ball and decent pace - when he is in the mood! I think he would be great at ManU now if he was in form. Sometimes an inconsistent player can be developed, maybe we aren't the team to do it with Nani.

Such a talented player, and if he doesnt fit in at united (where the wingers are key to the team) then i dont know where he will fit in

@machine44 after watching pretty much every United game for the past 10 or so seasons, I can honestly say Nani is far more frustrating than Rooney.

Think nani has to leave for him, he doesnt get the run of games to gain confidence especially last 2 seasons. Think he is made a scapegoat at times, def not as frustrating as Rooney

@reddevil7 did you not see at Old Trafford against real Madrid? He was quality on the counter attack my man of the match before his wrongful sending off

To be fair to Nani he had big shoes to fill on that left wing. Ronaldo left a big void which Nani didn't fill. He did begin to contribute, not at the same level as Ronaldo but still a good presence, but the last two seasons he's fallen back. I think a move is right for both parties.

@TittleTan Did you not watch the FA Cup quarter final between United & Chelsea? His performance was obysmal, but this is just one example of his inconsistent performances. It's time to go, and he won't be missed. Overrated from day one. >:(

I can't see the criticism that Nani gets from united fans. I think he has been a very good signing for United and always produced in big, important games.

@Doozers20 Carrick is ok but he's not a fit to lace the boots of Scholes and Keane in there primes. Who has stood out in the middle apart from Carrick lol. The premiership has been really poor his season. Which shows in how we did in the champions league. If you wanna beat the German and the Spanish teams in the champions league you need to strengthen in the middle big time.

@Villa-Rich midfields weak? With a midfielder in the top 6 in the PFA player of the year polls? The attack is one of the best United have had and its not about having a better team than past United teams its about having better than your competition which is where I think its underrated. Also have big hopes for Jones in midfield next season.

@reddevil7 I disagree first 11 on the pitch your best team I'm talking about isn't as good as man Utd teams in the past.Your midfield is weak.

@Doozers20 - Correct!

Couldn't disagree more...for the average age of the team and its strength and depth I see it as one of the strongest side we've had. And Fergie think the same...he said he always planned to leave united in the best possible position before he retires, and he believes he has done this.

@Doozers20 Don't underestimate the influence The manager has especially Fergie. You will lose your aura of invincibility now. Under Fergie teams were beaten before the kick off. The current man utd team is average if you compare it to man utd teams I've seen in the past.

Love it when opposition fans say 'the only reason you win is because of Fergie,' yes the man is a genius but he doesn't put the boots on and play for the players too, always felt the United squad is massively underrated by many. You don't win the league by so many points just by inspirational words.
