Joe Kinnear and Relegation Worries

Newcastle have spent almost nothing this summer, only making 2 signings - Kemen, a young Frenchmen, and Remy on loan from QPR. We all saw their shocking performance against Manchester City and they looked poor against West Ham in the 0-0 draw and weren't too convincing when they beat Fulham 1-0. So surely they needed to make some signings? And after all Joe Kinnear said about attracting the big players, he's done nothing, no point him even being there! Apparently he turned down the chance to sign 3 players, including Douglas at FC Twente, because he'd "never heard of them"! What a shocking transfer window for Newcastle and they could be going down.

We will be down their, but their's definitely worse teams than us e.g. Stoke, Fulham, Hull, West Brom, Palace

@machine44 yeah i think you'll be solid defensively but goals are a huge problem. and unfortunately for hull that's the most important thing. danny graham as your number one striker isn't a great situation, even crystal palace have better options there. sone aluko looks like he could have a good season though but not enough there IMO sorry for writing your team off! always a chance though.

@releasethekraken, as a Hull fan I would say yes we will be down there and our lack of goals will be a massive problem, but we are more resilliant than most of team in 'trouble'

Doesnt look good for newcastle, have to rely on not getting injuries to their big players or it could be the dreaded relegation, squad isnt up to standard

Beyond farcical. even for newcastle. i think hull and palace are almost certain to be relegated but the third relegation spot is more difficult to predict as cardiff will do well this season i think - newcastle could well be in trouble this season along with the likes of sunderland, west brom and stoke could get dragged into a scrap with the promoted teams.

Was Joe Kinnear bought in by the Ashley to try and get Pardew to walk away ? No players bought in, so that a new manager gets the funds to spend in January.
