First manager to get the sack?

I always like to bet on the first manager to lose their job in a season, so who does everyone think this will be??

I would be inclined to go for Pardew or maybe Mackay dependng on Cardiff's start.

An outsider could be Maarten Jol. He has failed to bring in any creative midfielders for the second season since Dembele has left. The players he has to choose from up front are skillful individuals like Berbatov, Ruiz, Taarabt, and Bent but they are not team players, and if we struggle they are not players to roll their sleeves up and help the team out.

DiCanio looks the obvious choice right now. But I still think it's too early to start culling managers.

I can't see it being Pardew, Ashley doesn't care about how the team does, only how much money he makes, as long as we're selling players on for more than we bought them for Pardew is nothing more than a puppet. I could see Di Canio being a good shout, not even being biased with Sunderland, with the amount of players they've brought in their will be pressure on them to do well and I can't really see it happening

@releasethekraken Wow, i'm surprised the odds are so low - maybe his contract isn't so water-tight after all.

@paulison well i called di matteo right but it was useless because i didn't put any money on it! pardew at 3/1 doesn't entice me either

@releasethekraken In order for Pardew to be the first to go either Newcastle's lawyers have got to sniff-out some obscure clause in his contract that allows them to get rid of him if he wears a green tie or Newcastle have got to have a monumentally bad start. I do think that his chances of being at Newcastle at the end of the season are slim but him being the first to go is unlikely because of the cost involved ... well done on Di Matteo btw!

@paulison I hope Moyes gets more than a season. 3 at least but like i said we dont know what the glazers are like with managers as fergie was untouchable. Martinez will get a fair crack to I reckon

@Doozers20 I agree that Pardew might be saved by his contract. I think Moyes will be given a season at least unless things go horribly wrong and I don't think there is any chance of that happening. Di Canio and Martinez could be more susceptible to a dodgy start.

With Pardews contract I don't see it, the clause would be huge... Jol if things don't go great at the start with a new owner in place could be a shout, we don't know how the Glazers are with the trigger, I'd hope Moyes gets a shot though. Theres also Di Canio who could shoot himself in the foot.
