Man UTD to win against Tottenham?

Man Utd is enjoying a wonderful spell lately with a 6 straight wins. Tottenham on the other hand is still searching for their identity. they just chcanged coaches and there seem to be an injury bug in white hart lane. Man UTd. have no excuse to loose or even draw

@releasethekraken yeah I get that, I'm often one when I have a different opinion too, yeah but he's also been injured for a while too.

@Doozers20 yeah obviously no one did, i'm just being a bit of a d!ck. still don't rate him as highly as most do though, he's getting found out this season now that van persie and rooney aren't bailing the team out as often IMO.

@releasethekraken noone said he was superman. I say he's a great player but not an enforcer. He also can't do it on his own and has been below par this season. Hence why I'd like someone like Vidal next to him.

@Doozers20 how can united's midfield be dominated most matches when they have superman michael carrick in midfield???

@brightside_94 Fletcher, we have no idea how he will come back, Cleverley is a squad player at best, Jones needs to pick a position. Carrick is Uniteds only midfielder worth starting at United in my opinion. Like I said, Uniteds midfield has been dominated regularly and not just off the top sides, if there is only them available, I really do fear United will finish 6th. I would like United to sign one stop gap midfielder now, and one top class one in the summer.

I created a discussion a few weeks ago regarding possible targets for United that would be more available. The ones I thought of were... Dembele (though playing more for Spurs now would be tough to get), Cabaye, Pirlo, Song and Vidal (who is top class).

Gundogan is also one that is not cup tied in the Champions League, but it remains to be seen when he will get back to fitness and it seems he may be Real Madrid bound.

@Doozers20 sorry i misread your comment, well my thought's that fletcher, carrick, cleverly, jones are there for the second half then it would be better to buy a midfielder in summer when there will be many great midfielders to buy.

@jimbo1984 I disagree on Evans and Smalling is still young, not on Jones level though and Jones is younger. Given a good run at centre half though might do him some good, toughen him up.
I think one player we certainly can't be critical of though is De Gea.

For me, Evra needs to be replaced before any of the centre backs, most of the attacks come down the left. Didn't help that Januzaj offered him little protection, but his lack of concentration in defence is amateur. Would personally have played Welbeck left and Januzaj central for that game to combat Walker on Lennon on that side, but that's easy to say from my home.

Our whole defence literally shits itself when the opposition counter attack and if ball start getting swung in everyone loses the plot.. Doesn't help that de gea jumps around like a dying swan whenever a cross comes in

Jones is decent but Evans and smalling are both back up players at best.. We have too many of these back up players who should be nowhere near a top sides starting line up

@Jonevarro Never really saw too much in Nastasic to be honest, obviously see an awful lot more of Smalling, Evans and Jones though.

@brightside_94 you said a midfielder is not particularly needed, when one is most definitely needed.

@Doozers20 yea that's what I'm saying!

@Doozers20 I'd rate Nastasic above them both and probably Lescott also. Smalling is massively overrated IMO.

@jimbo1984 I like Evans and smalling more than any city centre back bar kompany, think they've been doing well in general in the past few games, smalling was at fault for the 1st today though. He's still only 22 which is young for a defender. I want him to be given a consistent run at centre back might as well try and bring the youngsters through as nothing much more is going to come from this season.

United have the worst defence and midfield out of all the top 6 clubs.. At the start of the season the midfield was the biggest concern but our defence had become a shambles.. Smalling and Evans look scared of the ball, Evra thinks he's a left winger but forgets how to track back and defend.. Vidic always looks injured.. Jones and Rafael always are injured... Really should have sorted some of these issues out in the summer

@brightside_94 you don't know if a midfielder is needed? Uniteds midfield is dominated in most matches.

We need a left back certainly, I don't know if a midfielder is especially needed in this transfer season. Need to get fellaini back on track.

@ossie I doubt it. Chelsea 100% wouldn't and I doubt City would. I take this as a blessing and hope it forces moyes into the market
quicker for a midfielder and left back. 5 wins might have convinced him that the squad was ok. Evra is done at the top level in my opinion.
