Massive win!

Huge win for Sunderland, beacting Newcastle 2-1 to secure their first win of the season! Lovely goal from Borini to win it. Not good for Newcastle though, losing the derby and it was against the team bottom of the league!

@Doozers20 I wouldn't put him in the same class as someone like Benteke though where he could be the difference between a team staying up and going down though tbh!

@Charlton He's suffered with injuries which has hampered him. I think he's a good goal scorer if he can have an injury free season.

@CelticFC1888 you're totally missing the point

Fletcher in EPL:

128 apps, 108 starts, 43 goals, 13 assists.

Very useful indeed.

@CelticFC1888 12 is the most he's managed in a season, hardly that impressive, and that was also the season wolves got relegated, make of that what you want :)

Fletcher has managed double figures in leagues goals alone in nearly every seasons he's played in England, and it's always with lesser teams.

He has an impressive return when you look at who he's played with (Burnley, Wolves and a poor Sunderland)

@TittleTan don't have any goal scorers, they won't be as bad as they've started off but they'll still go down I think

@Charlton I don't think they will. They have enough quality to steady the ship.

@Rafael95 It seems like from the things that have been trickling out of the club that Paolo Di Canio completely mis managed the squad and destroyed the morale of the players. So I'd say that was the cause. Now they have a new manager. If he can repair the morale and manage the team right I see no reason why they can't turn things around. Last season QPR left it to late to fire Mark Hughes and appoint Harry Redknapp. If they had of done it sooner I believe they would have stayed up.

@Villa-Rich Players aren't everything. Look at QPR last season.

People writing them of far to quick. There no where near down they have the players to turn it around with the right manager if that is Poyet.
