@Jonevarro no doubt he wanted it back in the summer, but he's accepted he wasn't offered it and is now happy at Chelsea so I believe

Klopp, Reus, Gundogan, Shaw and Coleman for me please Mr Glazer. Won't even cost you the reported £200m. More like £120m

Mourinho didn't want to go to Man Utd? I've heard it all now!

@releasethekraken I wouldn't want Mourinho, my 1st choice would be someone like Klopp if that was possible.

Could be a number of avenues we could go down, could go for an old head like Heinks, Van Gaal or even Hiddink (if this was the case I'd like to see an ex United player come in as coach, i.e. Neville, Giggs, Solskjaer, to take over when they leave). Could give Giggs a shot (he'll have learnt more than most from Fergie), or go down the Barcelona route when they brought Guardiola from the B side in bringing up someone like McClaire from the youths (I very much doubt it).

I think they'll give the job to Van Gaal though.

@releasethekraken no I don't see why he would. This "big club" malarky is a load of rubbish. Mourinho manages 1 club from each nation, Chelsea are his English team. He'd never manage United. He's already said he wants to stay at Chelsea for years and then go into National team management.

@Jonevarro he may love chelsea (don't know why he would) but man united are a whole different level of club. he'd have loved the united job, especially following ferguson. 100%.

@releasethekraken you're forgetting something important - he genuinely does love Chelsea. There's a reason why he still communicated with so many of the ex players.

@Jonevarro i reckon he did. there was a sudden flurry of fergie @rse-kissing towards the end of his time with madrid. he definitely would have wanted to take over from ferguson and manage a top club, i have no doubt about that whatsoever. arguably the 3rd biggest club in the world. united a much better job to take than scummy chelsea where they sack a manager every 6 months. as much as i hate united at least they are a proper club.

I think the most important thing is that the new man has reputation, the players have slacked off this season maybe this was down to not respecting the manager. if you're accepting that moyes was the wrong choice, you have to address that by going for an older guy with a huge reputation who has managed massive clubs before. i'm thinking someone like hiddink, van gaal, capello?

I've been thinking that should moyes be sacked they should make a cheeky attempt to get mourinho. to make up for the mistake of not making him fergie's successor. this time last year he was practically begging for the united job, loads of @rse-licking. bet he was gutted when fergie chose moyes. he'd love to take the united job but i think it'd be difficult for him to get out of chelsea. other than mourinho i'm struggling to think of any other options to be honest.

The funniest thing in all of this is the fact United fans still think Mourinho wanted/wants the United job. Silly mugs.
