Quiet January Transfer Window. Will we see anymore big deals?

This transfer window has only seen a few deals go through in the Premier League. The biggest being Nemanja Matic's return to Chelsea for just over £20 million. Hull have added two forwards to their ranks in Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long. Other than that it's mainly been loan deals out of the Premier League or players merely leaving the league such as Kevin De Bruyne and Jermain Defoe. With 10 days to go will we see anymore deals done at the big clubs and who would you like to see your club sign coming into the last week of the window? Get involved.

@Posford End of the season if still in BPL, I would sack Hughton and get Mackay

@MB_Ktubes just shows how underrated Gus Poyet is as a manager, would've loved to have seen him at Norwich

@Posford Looks that way at the moment. I think Sunderland have been very impressive. False league position if you ask me.

@MB_Ktubes haha really? might watch it if it gets to extra time. Seems a bit stupid selling to another big team in the same division. Surely there are plenty of clubs in the rest of europe who'd be interested in Mata

@Posford If you knew nothing about the two teams playing in the Capital One Cup game tonight you'd think Sunderland were the team higher up in the league. United have been poor. Surely Chelsea should have considered bids from big European clubs first?

Mata's medical at United has taken a turn for the worse, they're checking his head for brain damage

@brightside_94 Van Ginkel take Mata's position? You clearly don't know much about him... Ginkel with be used in the double pivot not attacking trio.

@AFC_Harry34 true that but since matic joined chelsea, I definitely see marko van ginkel taking mata's position as an attacking mid his natural position. Now chelsea are in need of a striker also I suppose, then rooney as a lone-striker can be a good idea but he's been playing behind the striker more, like oscar's position but united definitely in no ways would it sell rooney, I personally won't want the later situatuion. :P

@releasethekraken the timing is interesting though, only really came about after united played Chelsea.

Absolutely no chance mata will go to united, permanently at least. jose would never sell a player of that quality to them. mata may seek a loan move away though, which even then i doubt united would get him, but would make more sense. would really show everyone what mourinho thinks of united as a challenger if he even entertains the idea. if united want mata i reckon some sort of rooney-mata swap would be on for the summer. chelsea want a top class striker and with rooney not looking likely to sign a new deal it might make sense for united to get mata in return instead of a minimal fee and spending it on someone who's not really good enough.

I think Manchester United will sign a midfielder but I don't know who. Newcastle will sign Luuk de Jong and Liverpool will get Salah. Other than that I think it will be quiet.

Cardiff City will probably sign a striker but unsure on who, maybe Finbogasson of Herverneen as Gunnarson is Iceland captain and Eikrem used to play for them, could be persuaded but that will be it I think.

We NEED a new central defender, Bassong and Turner are quite often liabilities these days. Really don't know who to bring in though plus we probably blew our transfer budget in the summer. A new manager would be nice but I think we could wait for that till the summer
