Real 3-4 Barca - What a La Liga title race!

What a title race in La Liga! Superb El Clasico tonight, Barcelona beating Real Madrid 4-3, thanks to a Messi hat-trick. 3 penalties, 1 red card, 7 goals! Who's going to win the title in Spain? Atletico Madrid sit top, Real 2nd and Barca 3rd!

@CelticFC1888 haha no Barcelona have mascherano in defence and ramos is one of the most overrated defenders I've ever seen. 19 reds says it all.

@Doozers20 Or the sheer quality of both attacks meant that it made the defences look a lot worse than they really are?

@CelticFC1888 ridiculous amounts of top players and terrible defences makes for a quality game

An amazing game, had everything that a Derby should with ridiculous amounts of class players on show.

Quality all over, wonderful match.

@Doozers20 http://www.nairaland.com/917572/why-barcelona-always-favoured-refs this has examples of big ones over the years, read a few comments

@Jonevarro it was a slight graze on Torres shin, only seen on slow replays magnified, I'm sure a replay showed he got his ankle clipped slightly. Drogba summed what up? How he can make himself look like an idiot? Name me major decisions to go Barcas way this season, other than the ones mentioned? I count 2 maybe 3 against them in the game against City.

@Doozers20 I've heard it before several times by many different people. He didn't touch his ankle, Neymar dived. He touched his torso minimally. How can you possibly compare the two? The Torres one was a blatant foul with significant contact the Neymar one was next to no contact. Barca's was definitely not a pen and nor was Madrid's. Barca always get decisions. Drogba summed it up in 2009 - it's a disgrace.

Ronaldo's comments were hilarious, considering the penalty he won was the dodgiest of them all - he was a yard outside the box!

Anyone else notice how Barca players suck up to refs? Their players don't get in the face of the refs and almost seem to be quite chatty and chummy with them. Quite a difference to English clubs/players who are the exact opposite. Something England could try and emulate in the World Cup.

@Jonevarro So commonly known that this is the 1st time I've ever heard the nickname... If you tap me on the shoulder it's not, if you clip my ankle whilst running forward it could be. For me there was pretty much the same amount of contact on Neymars ankle as there was on Torres in the United Chelsea game last year, and of course you'd never call that a dive...

Yes I know the difference, only I think Barcas was a pen, and Real Madrids wasn't.

I can't really remember many decisions going in Barcas favour this season aside from perhaps De Michellis foul, which was a sending off but was marginally outside the area.

@Doozers20 No it's known that Barca get decisions in all competitions, hence the commonly known Uefalona nickname for them getting decisions. Football is a partial contact sport, if I tap you on the shoulder that's not enough to make you fall to the ground, it was a dive. Real Madrid's penalty didn't lead to a red card, Barca's did. HUGE difference.

Would be refreshing to see Athletico win La Liga even if they are incredibly dirty but it's going to be a interesting title race.

@Jonevarro got to laugh, 1st of all... It's not UEFA, Real are known to be the favoured team in Spain, 2nd... Real Madrids penalty was outside the box, 3rd, replays showed contact on Neymar

@releasethekraken Neymar dived. Yes Reals also wasn't a pen but Ramos was also sent off for neymars, not quite the same.

@Jonevarro still butthurt about that semi final i see hahaha.

real had one in their favour as well. ronaldo was fouled outside the box but a penalty was given against 'uefalona'. besides, i thought the 2 barca penalties were correct. so don't you mean 'ruefal madrid'?

Uefalona at it again, bit of a joke how many decisions they get.
