Rooney the only way is down.

If Rooney get his own way and leaves the club for me the only way is down.He will not be the same player at other clubs. If he goes he will regret it and then again who could blame him not wanting to sit on the bench. What do you think.

I think it's time for Rooney to leave if I'm honest. He's not happy at the club and its shown in recent performances. I do however think it will be a step down for Rooney if he moves to any other club bar Real and Barca (who aren't interested). I can't see him joining another Premiership side unless we are offered a huge transfer fee for him.

@TittleTan he could flourish at United if he was played in his best position and told to just play.

He can flourish in another team, united are not the best team in the work therefore he can go up!

@Doozers20 yeah he would, just don't see Rooney being in Spain, he'd do fine but i just don't see that kind of move happening.

@lucas21 I think he'd do well for Real Madrid, him and Ronaldo were lethal for United.

@Doozers20 well I meant you could argue barca are bigger, wouldn't say so myself. But it wouldn't make sense for Rooney to go to Spain for me, the only good choices for me are to stay or go to bayern.

@lucas21 Bayern is understandable, I wouldn't personally say Barca are a bigger club than United to be honest. I also think Rooney would get in over Ozil, Benzema, Higuain, Pedro, Sanchez. But at the same time I don't think Barca need to spend the money.

@Doozers20 I mean I'd understand if he got bored of the same thing, like guardiaola at barca. A new challenge. But I think he's not going anywhere better than united as a club. Bayern may be a better team but not a bigger club. And although real and barca might be bigger, they wouldn't want him, so the only way for rooney is down(except bayern is an understandable move).

@lucas21 I couldn't really understand why he'd want to leave after such a successful season with an exciting young squad looking to grow, looking at how successful players have been since they left United, in comparison to Uniteds success, even Ronaldo hasn't won as much as United have.

@Doozers20 oh I haven't read many Rooney interviews tbh. Although if I were him I'd stay, I can understand why he'd want to leave(unless for money which I highly doubt.)

@lucas21 In the past though all he's talked about is breaking records at United, goalscoring, appearance (though I dooubt that even if he stayed for his career).

I think Rooney just wants something new honestly. A new challenge. He's been at united for so long now.

@Crackentone I agree, in my opinion it would be bad for him to leave, where would he go to? Would his style work in the Bundesliga or Ligue 1? Best for him to stick with United.

I think there is a slight way up, if Bayern were to want him. I don't blame him for leaving if he's promised to play in his position, if its for money I do though. United have a new manager now so we'll have to wait and see.
