The Coventry situation.
Coventry City played their first 'home' game of the season against Bristol City at Sixfields stadium after the club were unable to pay the rent on their home stadium, the Ricoh Arena. The game wasn't without controversy off the field as just 1,000 Coventry fans made the trip to Northampton amid protests from fellow supporters about having to make the journey away for what should have been a home game. Fans were seen having heated arguements in Northampton about their stance with some fans electing to stay away from home games until owners SISU leave the club. Back in Coventry, around 8,000 fans watched a legends match featuring former Coventry greats as opposed to travelling 34 miles to Northampton. The club also recieved a 10 point points reduction before the start of the season after going into adminstration earlier this year. So what do you think of this current situation that Coventry are in? What does this say for modern football with yet another big club going into adminstration? I also would like to know what would you do in the situation? Would you travel the distance for the next three seasons potenially and support your club? or would you protest like a number of the supporters have? Get involved in what is a very serious issue at the moment.
