They Should be better?

I have heard people say that City have so many top players and should be doing better, but when i look at the squad of players they have there is so much lacking in a few departments in the squad. Mancini i believe needs to bring more of his European stance on the club instead of taking alot of notes from David Platt. When looking at there squad i believe the midfield itself shows that City although spending all the money they have it is simply not good enough, players like Barry, Milner, Rodwell and Garcia i dont think are 'world class'. Defensively left backs clichy and kolarov arent great options, Kompany is a beast but when you look at the options beside him it isnt exactly fantastic, though nastastic will be a very good player, right backs they are fine, and Hart is a good number 1 but to me not great, and we all know how good there strikers can be. But the underperformers such as Nasri, Balotelli, Kolo Toure, and Kolorov wouldnt get near my team. I would have a mass clearout of that squad and rebuild yet again..... would like to point out i dont think Mancini should be sacked..........what do you guys think?

@Doozers20 If we're talking about counter attacking then I agree United are superior to City. No one in the world counter attack better than United imo.

@lucas21 Fair enough, United just seem a faster more precise team. Kompany no doubt is better than all of Uniteds fit centre backs but I think Evans is better than the others.

@slufsar I meant I can't see him being that effective running onto a through ball for example, he's better receiving a ball and driving forward on the odd occasion, he can get past two or 3 players before anyone has noticed, I guess he is pacey to be honest.

@Doozers20 I was mainly talking about speed in the sense of quick precise counter attack or even just normal play, just the speed of ply is so slow, tevez Aguero, silva, Nasri, toure, etc. have brilliant footwork but never attack e quick interchanging passes w out losing it, they have the ability to score a bunch but always seem slow to me in possession, and about the united city squad comparison, it's close but city's defense is way better IMO, jonny Evans has played great but him and rio don't even make up kompany combined, and vidic needs to prove he can keep fit and return to full form before I consider him the great cb of old.

@Doozers20 What exactly is a "powerful runner" if he aint pacey? How the hell can that be "powerful"? No Toure is pacey, he's got an amazing drive forward because of his ridicolously long legs. This is a pointless comment btw.

@lucas21 I personally think Ro, oney is a better all round player than the lot, I'd certainly take him over Tevez as a striker, like you say as a striker RVP is better than all of them. I'm not sure Dzecko is that much better than Hernandez and Welbeck is a better all round player than them both. I don't see Silva as a pacey player, he's better taking the ball to feet and passing it on, I wouldn't say Toure has massive pace either, just a powerful runner. I don't see Aguero being massively fast either and Tevez was one of the slowest players I ever saw at Old Trafford. I had a look before when I was bored at work and player for player I actually think Uniteds squad is better than City's.

They won the FA Cup in 2011, Premier League last season, and the Community Shield this year for god's sake.

@Doozers20 I did forget about vidic and other injured co. but ya city has no wing play bar sinclair who was 7mil down the trash. And that's why I'd be so upset if I were a city fan, they have triple the budget and waste it on ppl like Garcia, Sinclair etc. and I've got to disagree that Uniteds attack is better, very very close but I have city edging that, rvp can't be compared to Aguero or tevez but Rooney can and I think both are better than Rooney, and what city has is dzeko who's better than chicharito and welbeck And united does have pace but I don't see why city doesn't, Aguero, silva, toure, tevez, dzeko, all very fast players yet they have no speed in attack, perhaps Barry slows it all down. But my main point is united uses their budget brilliantly and city uses it waste fully, imagine if fergie had cities budget and city Uniteds, united would Probly win the title by 30points over them.

PSG signed Thiago Silva one of the best defenders around. City signed Lescott spot the difference

@lucas21 I'm not sure City's squad is that much better than Uniteds, I think Uniteds attack is better, United actually have wingers and can play wide whereas City do not, United have pace, which City lack massively. Without the massive injuries I reckon Uniteds defence is pretty much as good, United have more in back up too, especially in midfield.

Totally agree with the De Jong shout. IMO he's exactly what most teams need. He's also tough as nails which is nice to see in the modern game. For me it's the Mancini factor. City have the best squad in the league and should be walking it. He bought badly in the transfer window but maybe in January this will be put right. Still a long way to go in the season but so far they have lacked what's needed. You put a top top manager at the helm of City with that budget they'd be still in the champions league and probably strolling the EPL.

Looking at budgets, city should be 20 points off united by end of season, looking at current squad city should be 10 mayb even 15 points off united at the end of season, but yet they are 6 points behind and will be very tight in the title race. City are insane underperformers but ppl never see it because they win but with the squad they have they should be miles ahead of united. Especially in the midfield, silva needs to hit back to form, same w yaya, even Aguero hasn't been up to par atleast wen I've watched, kompany as well, and I don't even know wat Roberto does w his back line, one day it's 3 with zab and kolorov outside, the next it's a back 4 w nastasic and clichy the next day and Lescott the next, so inconsistent w his defense, it's laughable how bad they are for being so good.
