Tides have turned!!

Well I think it's fair to say the tides have turned. There is a new best country. Spain has been strongly knocked off the throne of football, taken by the mighty Germans. A new best style of play is on its way to prominence, no more tiki taka waste my time passing pointlessly. The new way is athleticism, ability, speed of play. This is the stuff I've been waiting for for a while now. A game played with solid defense and scoring by quick countering and making the difficult dribble or pass because they have the ability to do so, playing without fear to lose it because they have a midfield who is in unbelievable condition and discipline so they force the ball back with good timing and patience, and the attack is so much funner to watch IMO than Spain. A new day has come!! Hail hitl... Ok too far but well done Germany for finally knocking down the Spanish from footy's throne. Ofcourse this is my take on it all. Do all you think the tide has changed, are you glad if so? Is Germany now the best country(nationally or club level)? Is this German fast style of play more enjoyable than the Spanish tiki taka? Discuss!!

Their playing style will alter with the introduction of Guardiola next season. Heynckes has been pretty much integral to Bayern's system.

Like to point out that Bayern is closer to tiki taka than Real. Because Bayern had so little possession against Barca, people are led to believe that their game is never about possession and quick transitions is their main thing. However, they are pretty close to Barca on average possession this season. Barca's influence is still all over Europe, but its also interesting to see how Bayern's counter attacks is heavily influenced by those of Dortmund.

Cant really hand them the throne after ONE season where they've had two clubs in the semi-finals. They need to keep that up over many seasons, and I have serious doubts that Dortmund will improve next season, while I think teams like Man United, Juventus, PSG, Real and Barca will improve again. I think that in the future we will see the same few powerhouses dominating every season, taking up atleast 3 semi final spots, with 1 underdog joining them.

@Doozers20 yeah, and this proves my theory, the Premier League has the least of these one sided score lines of all the major leagues

@AFC_Harry34 I don't know how often Bayern are doing it to be honest, can't think of many others, Arsenal 6-1 over Southampton

@Italian_celt67 Can't disagree with that but I think if United can just address 1 or 2 positions, possibly a strong box to box defensive midfielder and a quality winger, maybe left back but I was impressed with how Evra improved over the season, they will be at a similar level.

@Doozers20 but I'm talking now - give me an example from this season - Chelsea 8-0 Villa only one I can think off, Bayern are trashing teams week in week out
