Toon in Crisis!!!

Are these dudes in crisis or what?! I mean lets add it up shall we?

-16th in the table, with lower points then the season they got relegated
-paper thin squad with mostly championship standard players being exposed by injuries (they were lucky last year)
-captain and only good CB wants to get sold back to his byhood club for cheap
-most technically gifted player (HBA) wants to move to a bigger club in the summer
-4 points behind their nearest & dearest, who haven't even paying well, but are now improving and likely to stretch the gap
-lost their highest goalscorer for small change to a rival club
-pimp slapped by the weakest team in the league when trying to get a replacement
-clubs around them all strengthening, while they're staying the same at best
-locked into a ridiculous 8 year contract with a manager who had one good season & doesnt seem to have a coherent game plan
-have only made 1 major signing in a year. Wheres the ambition and owner backing?

These guys are in a wooorld of sh*t, in my opinion...

@Doozers20 exactly, 2 late, should of been signed in August along with Douglas , and even if we had the repeat of the same injuries we wouldn't be where we are now

@Charlton when I told everyone a year ago Williamson was #### and a championship player at best no one agreed with me! I saw this happening at the end of the summer window when we didn't sign not one defender, we needed a full back preferably left and two quality centre backs! What we got Is nine of the above and we lost ba!

@Charlton I agree that there's no point in getting rid of Pardew. Who would we even get in to replace him? No one better, that's for sure.

See what I mean? :smirk: Newcastle are indeed in crisis. On a scale of 0 to crisis, I would rate them...very crisis.

@Daniel_Petersen_NUFC Im struggling to see us get any points at the minute, we need more physical presence I think, seem like we have a lack of players all the time, Williamson is poor, colo clearly wants to leave and isn't performing, Anita tries too many long balls, it's just a joke now, shouldn't be losing to reading, no one should at home :/

@Charlton I agree, the board is part of the problem. After the loss to Reading I'm starting to question the the heart of our squad. We took the lead then shut off completely in the second half. We have Villa (a), Chelsea (h) & Spurs (a). That's 3pts if we're lucky. Does not look good.

@TittleTan Any manager we have would struggle with the board we have, Let's face it

@daveowollefdoog *sigh* Thou protestethst too much. 2 windows=1 year. You've signed 2 players which is little. Point is all those teams have improved their teams, or at worst squads, with no loss at all, unlike you. If you don't think thats important then keep your head in the sand. Yea you won your EL group but imploded in the league due to the weakness of your squad proving my point.

@JohnnyLuken exactly... of note, you seriously think those players are worth nothing? Maybes Cole and Chamakh but i'd say QPR are pretty much relegated and everyone else aint premiership 1st team quality... 'swinging in the breeze' LOL you've made me chuckle, again proving my point of why I left the site for a while, rubbish like that

@Doozers20 n did you see how scrappy the games were, I have mates who support Sunderland and even they said they didn't deserve to beat City n only did cause Hart made a huge mistake... If we'd had a league match only Krul outta that team would've played sooooo your point is blown out the water yet again

@JohnnyLuken how is it weak for the Europa league? We practically walked our group.... and how do you make it 18th months for Cisse? We signed him last January transfer window, thats easy maths

@daveowollefdoog "Only Sunderland bought anyone of note." WRONG. Wigan (Henriquez, Espinoza), West Ham (Chamakh, Wellington, Cole), Reading (Kelly, Carrico), Southampton (Forren), QPR (Ben Haim, Remy (LOL)).

None of whom have lost anyone. The only relegation teams left swinging in the breeze have been you and Villa.

Yeah alright Nufc made 2 major signings-Anita, Debuchy, 3 if you include Cisse, but thats really 18 months. By championship standard I just meant the back up players, meaning its a weak squad for a Europa side, and for the quality of the 1st XI which is-WAS-good, though not as good as NUFC fans pretend it is.

@daveowollefdoog again not Premier League and not injured. Ahh yes I'd forgotten how much of an easy game City is... Southampton too having lost only 2 in 12 mighty easy games for Sunderland.

@Doozers20 Sunderland haven't improved, they've just had a few easier fixtures n managed to ground out a result, West Ham had one of their worst performances against Sunderland... n when we played Brighton we had a full team out that coulda been 1st team players: Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Gutierrez, Cabaye, Tiote, Ben Arfa, Cisse and Vuckic.... you could quite easily beat most teams in the premiership easily
