Van Gaal finally announced as Manchester United manager

So the deal has finally been completed, Louis Van Gaal has been named as Manchester United manager on a 3 year deal replacing Ryan Giggs who will be become his assistant. The Dutch manager will takeover after the World Cup where he will be in charge of the Dutch national team. What do you think of the move United fans? Happy? Also, do you think a successful World Cup for Holland e.g. beyond quarter finals will have an impact on your season with Van Gaal having less time with the team and on RVP's fitness? Get involved.

Can predict success as long as they give him a chance and he spends funds wisely

It'll be more successful, but I can't see them winning the league within 3 years. Top 4 should be a target for next season.

I like everything Van Gaal has been saying, but he's bound to say that sort of thing I guess. I don't think the World Cup will have any sort of impact, whether he get's knocked out in the group stage (my prediction), or get's to the final, I'd expect him to have given United a list of who he wants, and most clubs will be disrupted by the World Cup. I hear Moyes completely got rid of RVP's training regime (he was fit for the whole of the season before), I can't see Van Gaal doing that, so I expect to see RVP injured far less this season if these reports are to be believed, barring something on-field of course. Who comes in is a massive factor though.

Louis van Gaal certainly a good man to help Manchester United move forward. Good choice to have Ryan Giggs as assistant, he retires from playing a legend.
