Will Jermain Defoe be in the England Squad?

If you've not heard already, Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is to join Toronto FC of the MLS in late Feburary leaving England after spending time with Tottenham on two occasions, West Ham and Portsmouth. The 31 year old has agreed at 4 year contract with the MLS side, who are managed by former Blackburn defender Ryan Nelsen. Nelsen specualated that Defoe had offers from fellow Premier League clubs going into the final year of his Spurs contract but choose to move across the pond to play in Canada and the US. Defoe had been scoring regularly for Spurs in the Europa League but found playing time limited in the Premier League by now former boss Andre Villas-Boas. New Tottehnham boss Tim Sherwood has changed the formation at Spurs to accomdate two strikers but again Defoe has yet to get the nod week in, week out. Will the reputation of the MLS leave Jermain Defoe out in the cold when Hodgson comes to draw up his squad or will Defoe's record and experience allow him to remain in the squad?. If Defoe is to be left out then who will replace him in the squad? Another forward or a player in another position? Get involved.

P.S. I didn't make that image LOL.

I think it's a ridiculous move for a player still with lots to offer going to the MLS. Shouldn't be in the England squad but probably will be

I don't think he will go unless he gets a loan at an English club.

I don't see it being a problem the World Cup is only six months away and although the mls is of a lower quality it'll keep him fit. If he stayed at spurs I think it would weaken his World Cup chances as he's clearly 3rd choice and it looked like he might even be 4th choice behind Harry kane

He's ruined it for himself, he shouldn't be in the squad but probably will be in it.
