Yes but in a whole season there has been on more than 1 occasion 2/3 teams challenging for the title, where as spl had rangers and Celtic, which is only Celtic now anyway... - 6 years

Manchester United this season have will have won their 13th title from the 21 EPL titles played for, which is well over 50% of the titles. That barely shouts competitive league to me. Had it not been for Chelsea and then Manchester City pumping millions/billions into their squads you'd be looking at Manchester United winning around 17/18 of the 21... - 6 years

I know lots on SPL, the main point of the discussion was to do with whether the leagues should be restructured, I'm not debating the Leagues extra level of competitiveness this season... - 6 years

Place your bets the favourites for the SPL title are Celtic with second favourites being Celtic and the dark horses being Celtic. Look out for Celtic who could have a good year if results go there way. An outside shot is Celtic who could win the title with a good season.... - 6 years

Celtic have beaten Inverness CT 4-1 at home to secure the SPL title. But with Celtic winning the league fairly easily, what is next for Scottish football? The plans to restructure the league systems were voted out, although only by 2 clubs. What next for Scottish football?... - 6 years

Black_n_Decker commented on Sporting Integrity or Financial gain.

There's been some good Games to watch in the SPL, most of the teams can take points off each other and they've become more competitive, so Celtic being the better team should eventually win the league, but it will be interesting to see who grabs the European places after them. But It was right for Rangers newco to have to start again, it will help... - 6 years

Charlton commented on Sporting Integrity or Financial gain.

@KingDaniel now it isnt just gonna be focused on rangers and celtic it could give the other teams an opportunity to catch up, but yeah like says if you break rules, and to the extent they did, you should face the consequences regardless of what team you are... - 6 years

Glad somebody agrees. Arguing with an Arsenal fan saying it was a mistake and the league is over despite the gap at the top only being 6 points in ours and 7 in yours hahaha... - 6 years

NEW POST   Removed_user added Sporting Integrity or Financial gain.

Well we are half way through the SPL season and Celtic sit 6 points clear of second and Dundee are 9 points adrift of Ross County. However there is only a 10 point gap between 10th and 2nd. So there is still loads to play for and with Celtic focus being taken by the Champions League there is still a chance for teams to challenge us. I ask was it wo... - 6 years
